This Privacy Policy explains how RollPlace ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the RollPlace mobile application ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and optional phone number.

• Profile Information: Photos, preferences (cuisine types, interests, dietary requirements), and any other content you choose to add to your profile.

• Usage Data: Information about how you use the App, including the features you access, search queries, and interactions with recommendations.

• Location Data: With your permission, we collect your approximate location to provide relevant local recommendations. You can disable location access in your device settings at any time.

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers for analytics and troubleshooting.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features
• Personalize activity and restaurant recommendations based on your preferences
• Enable social features such as following other users and sharing experiences
• Send notifications about reservations, invites, and updates (only with your consent)
• Respond to your requests and provide customer support
• Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve the App
• Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• With Other Users: Your profile name, photo, and public experiences are visible to other users of the App. You control your account visibility in Privacy settings.

• Service Providers: We work with third-party providers (such as cloud hosting and analytics) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.

• Recommendation Services: Anonymised search queries are sent to third-party recommendation services. No personally identifiable information is shared with these providers.

• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RollPlace, our users, or the public.

4. Affiliate Links and Advertising Partners

Some recommendations and booking buttons in the App contain affiliate links. When you tap one and complete a booking or purchase with a partner (for example a hotel, restaurant reservation, activity, or event ticketing provider), RollPlace may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links never change the price you pay, and we only place them on genuine recommendations.

The trigger is your tap: affiliate links open only when you deliberately tap a booking button — never automatically. When you tap one, the partner and the affiliate network they use (such as Commission Junction (CJ), Impact, or Awin) place a cookie or use similar tracking technologies on the partner's own website so any resulting booking can be attributed to us. We do not place these affiliate cookies inside the App itself, and this tracking is governed by each partner's and network's own privacy policy. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before non-essential tracking technologies are used, and you can manage tracking through your device settings.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through Settings > Account > Delete Account. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, secure password hashing, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Object to or restrict processing of your information
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
